We
are able to admit emergency cases on the day of
referral and, in non urgent cases,
we carry out an assessment within a day our two
of receiving the referral.

We require a referral letter and contact details
of the person who has agreed to the funding.

We are happy to show parents around the Unit
and talk to them about our programme.

We will send the referrer a copy of our assessment
summary and monthly updates.

Approximately four weeks
before discharge we invite the referrers
to attend a pre-discharge planning meeting, where
we can discuss what follow-up is required locally
when the patient is discharged. |

We currently have
a contract with a local Health Authority
to provide inpatient care for all their children
with eating disorders. We are the preferred provider
for several other PCTs and health authorities around
the country, as well as from abroad.

We accept referrals from
any area or country, as long as the childs
parents agree to attend twice a month for family
therapy and to visit them at least every other weekend.
If you have any queries or enquiries, please ring
and speak to Dr Dee Dawson
or Dr Andy Price.
