We have two permanent teachers
and a range of tutors and language assistants who provide
one to one tutoring for children who require it.

Tony Andrews, our headmaster, is a very experienced
special needs teacher. Tony liaises with the childrens
own school or college and ensures that work is sent, prepared
and returned to the appropriate person so that the children
do not fall behind with their studies. Rhodes Farm is
an examination centre. Every year children sit their GCSEs
and "A" levels with us. We understand how important
schoolwork is to the majority of our patients and we do
all that we can to see that we do not add to their problems
by failing to keep them up-to-date with their academic
studies.

From the final 2-3 weeks of their stay, we arrange for
our patients to return to their own school for 2 days
each week so that we can help them cope with the transition.
Our
school day is from 09:00am to 3:30pm. The school is well
equipped with computers and books. We also visit
the local library every week and make frequent trips to
sites of interest in order to support learning in the
classroom.
